What is EDI Team as a Service?

EDI Team as a Service is a delivery model in which an organization gains access to a team of EDI specialists for an ongoing subscription rather than hiring each role. The team performs EDI development, mapping, partner onboarding, monitoring and support as directed by the customer, on the customer's platform or on PRISM. It differs from a software subscription, which provides tools but no people, and from full outsourcing, where the provider runs the entire operation.

Frequently asked questions

How is EDI Team as a Service different from staff augmentation?

Staff augmentation places individual contractors under your management. EDI Team as a Service provides a coordinated team with a success manager, shared knowledge and defined processes, so coverage does not depend on one person.

Do we have to use the PRISM platform?

No. ECOM specialists can work on your existing EDI platform, including IBM Sterling environments, or on PRISM.

How do we request work?

Requests go to your customer success manager, who prioritizes them with you and assigns the right specialists. Regular reviews keep priorities aligned.

Can we change the level of support over time?

Yes. The engagement can scale up for projects and peak periods and scale back for steady-state operations, within the terms of your agreement.

Is support available around the clock?

ECOM offers 24×7 support options. The coverage hours and response times for your engagement are defined in your service agreement.
