Frequently asked questions
Can we combine delivery models?
Yes. Many organizations combine models, for example iPaaS for core integrations with EDI Team as a Service for extra capacity, or SaaS WebEDI for small partners alongside managed EDI for large ones.
Can we change models later?
Yes. Because every model runs on PRISM or supports your existing platform, moving between models is usually a change in responsibilities rather than a re-implementation.
Do all models include the same features?
No. Features and responsibilities differ by model and are defined in each service agreement. ECOM recommends a model after reviewing your requirements.
Which model is most cost-effective?
It depends on your volumes, partner count, internal skills and the cost of staffing EDI roles. ECOM can help you compare the total cost of each option for your situation.
